Dr. Jhou is an international flute professional who began playing since she was 10 years old. Currently, she is serving as Music Faculty at Union County College and Sussex Community College. She is also regularly invited to teach at the Minnesota All-State Band, International Music Camp, Minnesota Music Teachers Association, and Minnesota Music Educators Association as a guest clinician and sectional coach. Her thesis, “Pedagogy of Influential Selected Works by Marcel Moyse: A Modern Perspective” discusses how to use modern performance tools (breathing bag, builder, and finger breath) to help students develop sustaining tones, intonation, and articulation with flute exercises authored by Marcel Moyse. Dr. Jhou completed her Doctorate of Music Arts Degree under Prof. Immanuel Davis at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus.
