Dr. Jhou is an international flute professional who began playing since she was 10 years old. Currently, she is serving as Adjunct Music Professor at Union County College and Sussex Community College. She has presented workshops, clinics, and master classes, including the Minnesota All-State Band, New Jersey All-State Band, International Music Camp, and public/private schools. Her thesis, “Pedagogy of Influential Selected Works by Marcel Moyse: A Modern Perspective” discusses how to use modern performance tools (breathing bag, builder, and finger breath) to help students develop sustaining tones, intonation, and articulation with flute exercises authored by Marcel Moyse. Dr. Jhou completed her Doctorate of Music Arts Degree at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus.
